The 2012 London Olympics are upon us and Team SHEEX is ready to watch, support and cheer on athletes competing in the world’s most prestigious athletic event!
Part of the Olympic prestige comes from the fact that the Games are held once every four years, giving the athletes few chances to give their best performances. While not as exclusive as the Olympics themselves, SHEEX is proud to announce a limited quantity of our Performance Cotton bedding. While cotton typically does not go hand in hand with the word “performance,” SHEEX Performance Cotton is enhanced to manage temperature, a great addition to your bedroom during these hot summer months!
SHEEX Athlete Ambassadors Hyleas Fountain and David Oliver will step up to the line at the Olympic Trials later this week to race for positions on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team that will compete in London. Both athletes are members of the SHEEX sponsored Track and Field Athletes Association (TFAA) whose aim is to support, educate and guide athletes through their professional careers. Fountain and Oliver headline the over 60 Olympic Trials qualifiers from the TFAA.
Hyleas Fountain enters the competition as the 2008 Olympic Silver Medalist in the heptathlon. The heptathlon consists of seven track and field events over the course of two days, (100 Meter Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, 200 Meters, Long Jump, Javelin, 800 Meters), making it a true test of all-around athletic ability.
David Oliver is the American Record Holder in the 110 Meter Hurdles, with a time of 12.89, and one of the favorites heading into the Trials to make the Olympic Team.
Support the SHEEX Athlete Ambassadors and catch David and Hyleas in action this Friday (June 29) on NBCSN from 6-8 p.m. EST/3-5 p.m. PST and Saturday (June 30) on NBC from 9-10 p.m. EST/PST!
SHEEX Sleep Ambassador Danielle Carruthers will toe the line today and tomorrow at the U.S. Olympic Trials to vie for a spot on the 2012 Olympic Team that will travel to compete in London next month. Having earned the silver medal in the 100 Meter Hurdles at 2011 World Championships Danielle is one of the World’s Best in the event.
Danielle approaches the Olympic Trials with the poise and enthusiasm of a true champion: “I am excited to compete for the US Olympic Trials. I’ve been working hard–preparing and training every day for the opportunity to compete. My goal is to place in top 3, so I can make the team and offer my country my best performance representing them in the Olympic Games. Thank you SHEEX for supporting my efforts to make the US Olympic Team.”
